ASSEMBLY OF A STEEL BUILDING

A step-by-step overview of the steel building assembly process — from site prep through the finished structure.

01

Site Preparation

Clear and level the building site. Verify grades and drainage. Mark the building footprint with stakes and string lines per the anchor bolt plan.

02

Foundation Construction

Pour concrete foundation per the engineering drawings. Install anchor bolts at specified locations while concrete is wet. Allow adequate cure time before proceeding.

03

Delivery & Inventory

Receive your Toro building package. Inventory all components against the shipping manifest and tag each piece per the labeled assembly manual.

04

Primary Frame Erection

Erect primary frames (columns and rafters) and connect to anchor bolts. Install temporary bracing. Check plumb and square before proceeding.

05

Secondary Framing

Install purlins, girts, and eave struts. Install permanent bracing rods. Prepare for panel installation.

06

Roof Panel Installation

Install roof panels starting at one end, lapping panels per the manual. Install ridge cap and eave trim.

07

Wall Panel Installation

Install wall panels, corner trim, and base trim. Frame door and window openings.

08

Doors, Windows & Accessories

Install overhead doors, man doors, windows, and any other accessories. Install all flashing and closures.
